"Unnatural Habits" is the twelfth episode of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries' second season and the 25th episode overall. It is based on the Phryne Fisher novel of the same name by Kerry Greenwood.
Synopsis[]
The gothic world of a halfway house for pregnant and wayward girls sets the scene for the death of a teenager. Phryne and Jack realise the threads of the crime lead closer to home than they suspected.[1]

Cold Open[]
Dot and Hugh are relaxing by a river. Dot is fishing while Hugh talks about honeymoon plans. Dot seems to catch something, and while Hugh is initially enthusiastic he becomes alarmed after looking into the river. He tells Dot to turn her back, then wades into the river to retrieve the corpse of a young woman.
