Case: Investigate Lavinia's death
Murderer: Maurie Burke
Outcome: George Sanderson shoots and kills Maurie Burke.
Phryne: This bolt on the inside could have been bolted from the outside using a very strong magnet. In fact, I'm confident enough to say that it was.
Jack: That's remarkable!
Phryne: Thank-you. You should see what I can do with a garter.
There is a lot of public outcry against Jack. It's difficult to blame the public, given that Jack clearly abused his authority to take a case of blatant conflict of interest away from its proper jurisdiction.
